The Canton Girls Track and Field Team had another great outing with their performance at the MHSAA Region 6 meet held at Livonia Stevenson High School. The team was able to finish in 5^th place with 56 points.  Senior Cara Newman punched her ticket to the MHSAA State meet with a first-place finish in both the 1600m and 3200m runs. The Regional Champ ran a very impressive personal best time of 4:59.45 in her 1600m race and 10:54.3 in her 3200m race.  Several athletes earned Regional honors:

Senior Bailey Kennedy:  8^th in Disc with a personal best throw of 32’10.5.

Junior Mira Renaldi:  4^th in the 100h(16.20) and 3^rd in the 300h(47.4). Both are personal best times.

Junior Taylor Steinagel: 4^th in the 400 with a time of 59.8.

Junior Mia Carney: 4^th in the 200 with a time of 27.5.

Sophomore Payton Kitchen: 7^th in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:02.3.

4×8 Relay:  3^rd with a time of 10:04.01 (Yana Chamiso, Sidney Pentoney, Ava Spirl, Taylor Steinagel)

4×4 Relay:  5^th with a time of 4:23.4 (Emily Craig, Mira Renaldi, Payton Kitchen, Taylor Steinagel)

4×2 Relay: 7^th with a time of 1:52.36 (Adelynn Miller, Madison Duren, Reena Anyanwu, Mia Carney)
