Canton Men’s Cross Country faced off against the top two teams in the state on Tuesday at Cass Benton.  Despite coming up short against both Northville and Brighton, the Canton runners continued to impress.  The final scores were Canton 31, Northville 24, and Canton 29, Brighton 26.
Mitch Clark had an amazing run on one of the states toughest courses.  His 16:00 time broke the Canton record for the 3.1 mile course by 25 seconds.  Aiden Pengelly finished right behind him with the new second fastest course time at 16:11.  
Adam Dicken’s time of 16:28 is now tied for the 4th fastest Canton Cass Benton 3.1 mile time.  
Finishing the scoring for Canton was Clark Madden (16:56) and Steven Dusseau (16:58).  
This was the first time in Canton history that the Canton men finished with five runners under 17:00 at the same Cass Benton race.
Also running Personal Best times were Rayyan Arslan (26:05) and Brandon Blandino (17:00).
Canton next races Friday at the Michigan State University Invitational at Akers Golf Course.
