CONGRATULATIONS to all of our athletes and coaches for the outstanding last home, last dual meet of the season WIN against Novi yesterday, the final score was Canton 72, Novi 65! It was an exciting meet that literally came down to the very last race to decide the winner! There were also a LOT of PRs, just a really impressive effort and result overall, and especially fun with it being our seniors' last meet at home.
Speaking of which, first and foremost, THANK YOU AGAIN to Angie Clark for all of her hard work organizing volunteers and concessions, especially this week with all of the scheduling issues and changes. Despite some last minute scrambling, everything ran so smoothly yesterday, thank you, Angie! And thank you too to everyone who donated items for concessions and especially to the volunteers who gave their time at the meet. It was all appreciated, and helped make the day a success. The money raised from our two home meet concessions this season will help in meeting the team's expenses.
We were also able to take a moment to recognize our seniors at their last home meet yesterday. We are proud of the class of 2024 and will miss them next year! Our graduating seniors are: Brandon Blandino (captain), Mitchell Clark (captain), Aidan Collins, Damon Emerson, Sy Henney (captain), Daniel James (captain), Cameron Kouba, Nathan Levine (captain), Joey Miller, Devansh Shende, Michael Yu (captain), and Jason Zhang.
